Title:  Store Manager
 
Job Description
 
Purpose:  Provide leadership, direction and management for the entire Love INC store.
 
Reports to:  Executive Director
 
Responsibilities:
1. Train and develop volunteers with the help of volunteer trainings put on by the Volunteer Coordinator.  Train specifics for store policies
2. Maintain and monitor store income and expense budget lines, weekly
3. Insure that the store is well kept and maintain standards/criteria for what is acceptable for display
4. Maintain adequate staffing of the store areas
5. Oversee sorting, display and sales areas
6. Provide a welcoming, joyful, caring and astatically pleasing environment for all who enter the store, volunteers, neighbors, etc…
7. Develop and follow a calendar of events, sales, season transitions, etc…
8. Manage and control incoming donations
9. Schedule and supervise cleaning
10. Oversee accurate record keeping
11. Maintain an online sales presence, utilize on line garage sales, twitter, ebay, amazon, frequent shoppers etc…
12. Create an advisory team to assist in any ways needed
13. With the help of the advisory team, brand store, increase advertising and execute marketing to increase sales
14. Manage schedule and volunteers who pick up of furniture for Love INC stores
15. Work collaboratively with Manger from other Love INC – Heartland store 
16. Manage a building maintenance schedule i.e.:  furnace filters, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers
17. Correct any building issues as they come up – malfunctioning lights, ceiling leaks, etc.  Communicate repair issues to Exec. Director and Landlord immediately
18. Monitor expenditures; keep costs down for heat, electric, water, air-conditioning etc.
19. Monitor risk management/safety in all areas of the ministry, including ice removal schedule, injury reports etc…
20. Schedule store closings, sales, promotions
21. Other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor and Volunteer Coordinator
 
 
Qualifications:
 
1.  Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the Apostles’ Creed.
2.  Prayerful always
3.  Exhibit fruits of the Spirit: “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22, 23
4.  Discernment, non-judgmental attitude and the ability to listen empathize and accept others
5.  Healthy professional boundaries

8.  Ability to understand written and oral instructions
