3rd Annual Silent Auction ~ April 11, 2010
Attention: Love INC Heartland Partner Churches
Love INC Heartland is having their 3rd Annual Spring Fundraising Gala on Sunday, April 11th at St. Mary's Catholic Church Parish Center in Waverly, MN. This year's event is "A Tropical Evening of Praise". Plans for the evening include a silent auction, Hawaiian Luau themed dinner, a short program of music and praise, and a dessert auction to top off the night.

We are asking you to include this flyer, or the information contained on it, in your Sunday bulletin each week, right up to the event date. You can also print and post this flyer in your church in high traffic areas, and place on tables in your fellowship hall. If you read announcements during your services, we would love to have you add this event to the list. The more attention we can give to this event, the more successful it will be. In the next few days, a representative of Love INC Heartland will be stopping in to your church to leave off tickets to sell for the event. Ticket price is $35 and includes the delicious meal that will be served. We are encouraging each partner church to sell at least 8 tickets - which is one table for the dinner. We will recognize each church's table with signage, and will also be introducing your table the night of the event. If you find that you need more tickets, please contact the Love INC Heartland office in Delano, and we will bring you more. Fill as many tables as you can! The week of the event, we will stop back and collect the ticket money, and name and address stubs of the tickets sold. We will also collect any unsold tickets.
Another way to help make this event a huge success is to ask your church members for donations for the silent auction. If anyone has an item, service, gift certificate, or theme basket to donate, contact the Love INC Heartland office at 763-972-6547 and let them know. We are happy to come and pick it up at your church office or arrange with the donor to pick it up. Donations can also be dropped off at the Love INC Heartland office at 318 Railroad Avenue, Delano. All donations need to be turned in by April 1st please. Love INC Heartland helped meet 7,576 individual needs in 2009. We are expecting needs to double in 2010 and have based our budget on 15,000 anticipated needs. Helping our neighbors like this is possible by the volunteer efforts of the 20+ partner churches in our area - including yours!

Local churches, youth groups, and politicians are gathering warm clothes to sleep outdoors during the 2009 SleepOut, an annual fundraiser that supports Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC-Heartland) ministries. The 2009 SleepOut runs from Saturday, Oct. 24 through Wednesday, Nov. 25. Everyone is encouraged to attend a festive kick-off event at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 hosted by Delano United Methodist Church. Hearty campers across neighboring communities will sleep in tents to raise awareness of the comfort and security needs many neighbors face every day. Love INC's church-run ministries work to meet these needs. Many youth group "sleepers"will be joined by family teams, organizations, and individuals participating for one or more nights. The goal this year is to raise $40,000. Secure online donations can be made at www.loveincheartland.org. Pledge checks should be made out to Love INC-Heartland and mailed to Love INC, PO Box 143, Delano, MN 55328. All proceeds from this annual event support Love INC's many ministries to local neighbors in need.

Our friends "Putt" their best foot forward at Love INC-Heartland's second annual Golf Invitational that was held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Wild Marsh Golf Course in Buffalo. This event is an annual fund raiser for Love INC-Heartland. Check back for more event updates!
